Internship Funding Program
As part of the Section’s commitment to fostering careers in administrative law, APLS is please to announce a new Internship Funding Program to support four internships with state agencies and other public service entities.
- Three internships will be created with specific, designated agencies (including one with SOAH), and one award will be to fund an otherwise unpaid internship independently obtained by the applicant at a qualifying governmental entity.

- Deadlines to submit applications: January 5, 2026 (3 designated internships) and April 13, 2026 (applicant-identified internship).
2026 Summer Internship in Administrative Law
This internship was created to provide opportunities for Texas law students interested in administrative law. It is awarded in the Spring of each year and served during Summer of the same year:
- Texas Fifteenth Court of Appeals
- Office of the Attorney General’s Administrative Law Division
- State Office of Administrative Hearings.
The internship includes a $5,500 stipend for a six-week term.

- Deadline: Tuesday, January 6, 2026, 11:59 PM
- Eligibility: Any student enrolled in a law school in Texas at the time of application

2026 Summer Stipend: Find Your Own Experience
This internship was created to provide opportunities for Texas law students interested in administrative law. It is awarded in the Spring of each year and served during Summer of the same year:
- $5,500 Stipend
- Must have applied for a non-paid internship at the time of application
- State agency, local governmental entity or a public sector entity within the State of Texas
- Minimum five weeks in duration and 20 hours of work per week (or the equivalent)

- Deadline: Tuesday, January 6, 2026, 11:59 PM
- Eligibility: Any student enrolled in a law school in Texas at the time of application

*Submission of application also constitutes application for free student membership in APLS
